Welcome to the Row: Greetings and welcome to The Row! My name is Brian Grimm and I will be your DJ for Reviewer’s Row. This will be a monthly newsletter consisting of different gamer’s reviews, thoughts and opinions on their game of choice. Once the reviewer is done he/she will give a rating for the game. The
rating is Atari joysticks with 4 joysticks being a must own and 1/2
joystick being don’t even bother playing it or just use it as a
coaster. Reviewer’s Row is part of Martin Library’s promotion of our new video game collection.
Previous Comments: I received a request from Lily about introducing Wii games to our collection. The
reason we decided to go with PS2, 3 and Xbox 360 is we surveyed over
800 patrons on which system’s games they would like to see in our
collection. The Wii had very little response; I think due to numerous factors. One of which, is the Wii just is not available in this area. Given our funding we decided to stick with what the patrons wanted now. As our collection grows I see no reason why we cannot add Wii games. We just have to show the powers to be that this collection can make some serious waves. So get to your library and rent the video games! I am requesting your help in finding a closing for the letter. Please send me suggestions. This is what has been suggested so far. “Keep
on playing!” and “Sorry Mario but the Princess is in another castle!”
If you would like to be a Reviewer for The Rowjust send me an email. See you next month!

The Row's Questions:
First game ever played? Donkey Kong that is right kiddies, COLECOVISION!
Favorite all-time game? Tecmo Bowl, Nintendo
Console Preference? XBOX 360
A positive influence gaming had on you? One of the things gaming taught me is the simple notion of trial and error. You
have to keep playing over and over again until you get it right, thus
also giving you heavy doses of persistence and patience.
Game Reviewed: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Positives: R6V2 has been out since March 08' and let me just say it is still my game of choice. Not
only is the online play is impeccable, coupled with the tremendous
single player story mode and the always entertaining Terrorist Hunt
this game is hands down one of the best games I have ever played. The
graphics, weapons and non-stop action are second to none. I love how it
doesn’t matter how many times you play a level the bad guys are
sometimes in a different spot. This game forces you to be tactical and patient. You are on edge of your seat with every turn of the corner, shot or door opening. I can not wait for the next one!
Negatives: Although
I do enjoy how realistic this game is, I feel as though you go entirely
too long between saves, causing you to play entire levels only to be
killed right at the end forcing you to do it all again. My only other
problem is with the online play. It frustrates me to no end when these
games decide you cannot play two players per console on line. They do
not all do it. Call of Duty 3, the worst one of the four, allows you to
play with a friend in the room. For example,
Dennis and I can play at my place versus online players. Someday these
games and systems will remember that some of us do have friends who
aren’t just online and people do actually hang out in the same room
once in a while! I give 3.5 sticks with the hope they will read this
and make the proper adjustments for the next game!
Coming Next Month: Our September Reviewers Row guest will be Eric March!
