Martin Library at The Art Institute of York - PA in Springettsbury Township
Through a cooperative agreement between Martin Library, The Art Institute of York - Pennsylvania, and Springettsbury Township, library services are available to residents of the township, as well as the students and faculty of the Art Institute. The Library provides 8 public computers, which have Internet access as well as Microsoft Office installed on them. We do not have wireless Internet access available to the public at this time.  For a fee, a color printer and copier are available for use. The majority of our collection is available to be checked out by anyone with a York County Library card. The items appear in the online catalog and may be requested for pick up at your most convenient location.  You may also pick up and drop off items from other York County libraries at the Art Institute location. NEW HOURS ADDED ON SATURDAYS We are happy to announce an expansion of our hours to Saturdays. We will be open certain Saturdays throughout the year (running in coordination with the school's academic schedule). For this quarter, we will be open October 31st through December 12th (except for November 28th, due to the Thanksgiving holiday) on Saturdays from 9:00am - 1:00pm for students, staff, and the public. Note that we are closed on Saturdays from December 19th through January 30th. Saturday hours will resume on February 6th through March 20th. HOLIDAY CLOSURES & HOURS The Library will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 26th-28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. For Christmas and New Year's, the Library will be closed from Thursday, December 24th through January 2nd. We will reopen on Monday, January 4th with our public hours: Noon-8pm through Thursday, January 7th and Noon-5pm on Friday, January 8th. During that week, the school is not having classes, so there may not be a staff member present before Noon. If the school building is unlocked when the Library is closed, you may still place items in our drop box and they will be checked in when we return. If you have something that is due at another library, you may want to return it there to make sure it is checked in on time.

Directions to The Art Institute of York - PA  (1409 Williams Road * York PA 17402). From Rt. 30 East:  Exit at Mt. Zion Road (Rt. 24) and turn left at the light at the end of the ramp. Stay right. Just past the next intersection (another light), turn right onto Whiteford Road. Continue below. From Rt. 30 West: Exit at Mt. Zion Road (Rt. 24) and turn right at the light at the end of the ramp. Make an almost immediate right turn onto Whiteford Road. Continue below. From Market Street in York: Turn onto Mt. Zion road, heading toward Rt. 30. Stay to the right. Go straight through four lights. Immediately after the fourth light (by the exit ramp for Rt. 30 west) turn right onto Whiteford Road. Continue below. *Follow Whiteford Road around to the left (90 degree turn), and it becomes Williams Road. Turn right at next street (also Williams Road). A large lighted sign for The Art Institute of York sits on the corner. Turn into parking lot at first left. If visitor spaces are available, park there. If not, you may park anywhere on the left side of the lot (not to the right - area marked Staff Parking). **If you miss the right turn at Whiteford Road, you may continue to the second traffic light (past the Police Station) and turn right onto Pleasant Valley Road. At the first stop sign, turn right. The school will be to your left - turn left at the road and left again into the parking lot. Finding the Library: Facing the school, if you enter through the main doors on the left, turn right and the Library is at the end of that hallway. If you enter by the doors to the right of the center (near the bookstore), turn left, go to the end of that hallway and turn right.  If you are only returning items: You may place them in our book drop, inside the entrance doors to the right of the center of the building. Enter and go to the right of the stairs and ahead of you in the wall is a book drop into the Library.
