Both epicenters are located within the Mesozoic Rift Basin. The program will discuss the similarities and differences between the two events and bring up-to-date information about the earth’s movements. The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

February's Book Discussion

The book discussion selection for February is Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson. In a small village in the English countryside lives Major Ernest Pettigrew. The Major leads a quiet life valuing the proper things that Englishmen have lived by for generations. But then his brother’s death sparks an unexpected friendship with Mrs. Jasmina Ali, the Pakistani shopkeeper from the village.

The discussion will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at 1 p.m. All are welcome. Registration begins Wednesday, February 1st.
